Co-Owner of G Jets International & Flying Zebra, LLC
A lifelong New Yorker, Glenn Allyn has built a versatile and accomplished career that spans aviation, law, and real estate. His foundation began with a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York. It was strengthened by earning a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. With this strong academic background, he began a journey combining operational leadership, legal expertise, and entrepreneurial drive.
Glenn’s career started in the automotive industry, where he worked as a sales manager at a dealership in Nyack. This early role introduced him to business operations and customer relations. After law school, he transitioned into legal practice, working with prominent New York City and White Plains firms. He eventually became a partner at two, focusing on aviation law and ski area liability. Early in his legal career, he was involved in major cases dealing with airline disasters and complex reinsurance issues, helping establish his ability to work in high-pressure, regulated environments.
While practicing law, Glenn remained closely involved in the ski industry. He coached competitive youth skiers aged 12 to 15, specializing in technical disciplines such as slalom and giant slalom. As a J3/J4 coach, he focused on building racing technique, safety awareness, and mental preparation. In addition to coaching, he worked as a staff trainer at a ski resort, where he trained instructors to teach children effectively. His work in skiing reflected his dedication to teaching and mentoring, qualities that would remain constant throughout his professional life.
Over 15 years, Glenn Allyn developed a successful track in real estate. He managed residential and commercial properties as a builder, developer, and property manager. His responsibilities included overseeing construction, supervising maintenance, managing tenant relationships, and planning leasing strategies. His real estate experience provided valuable insight into long-term asset management and operational efficiency, adding another layer to his skill set as a business leader.
He entered aviation as a Learjet captain for Northeast Jet in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Glenn later became Director of Operations at Tab Aviation, which operated in New York and New Hampshire. These roles gave him experience in piloting and aviation management, involving flight scheduling, pilot oversight, and regulatory compliance. He expanded his aviation expertise by joining Best Jets, Inc. as a broker and sales associate, managing transactions for various aircraft, including jets, turboprops, helicopters, and seaplanes. He guided clients through each acquisition process step, combining his legal knowledge with market insight to ensure successful outcomes.
Glenn then served as Chief Pilot at M’Air Aviation, responsible for operational oversight, flight safety, and pilot coordination. This role allowed him to integrate aviation knowledge with hands-on leadership, overseeing day-to-day flying and broader operational responsibilities. This experience set the stage for launching his own aviation company.
Glenn B Allyn has been leading Flying Zebra, a private charter aviation company based at Westchester County Airport in New York, for over seven years. The company provides flights to destinations throughout the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. Operating a fleet of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, Flying Zebra offers service to areas often not served by traditional carriers. As Chief Pilot and owner, he oversees the company’s operations, including aircraft maintenance, charter sales, flight scheduling, pilot training, regulatory compliance, and safety procedures. He also manages leasing, insurance programs, warranty coverage, and aviation records. Drawing on his legal and business experience, he advises clients on aircraft ownership structures, tax implications, and operational deductions.
He holds FAA Part 135 certification and has logged over 30,000 hours of total flight time, including more than 22,000 hours as lead pilot. His experience spans jet, turboprop, and rotary aircraft, with over 1,600 hours of helicopter flight time. He has authored critical aviation documents, including SMS protocols, emergency response plans, Canadian AOC applications, drug and alcohol manuals, and HZMAT compliance materials.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, he maintains a highly active lifestyle. His interests include running, cycling, golf, biathlon, kiteboarding, scuba diving, waterskiing, motorcycling, and shooting sports such as skeet and trap. A lifelong skier, he has competed in amateur and professional moguls, aerials, and alpine racing.
Glenn Allyn continues to lead Flying Zebra with consistency, professionalism, and a results-oriented mindset. His ability to draw from his broad experience in aviation, law, and business ensures that the charter service remains safe, efficient, and tailored to clients seeking reliable private air travel.
